The artistic director of Marvel’s Avengers, Shaun Escayg, has left Crystal Dynamics to return to their prior studio of employment, Naughty Canine. Escayg’s return was celebrated by the Naughty Canine group, who gifted their long-absent team-mate a postcard and a sweet-ass mug.

“Blissful to be again with the Canines!” remarked Escayg on Twitter.

Escayg had beforehand labored with Naughty Canine on flagship franchises Uncharted and The Final of Us, finally changing into director for the wonderful 2017 spin-off Uncharted: The Misplaced Legacy. Escayg would depart the studio shortly thereafter for a task at Crystal Dynamics, serving as artistic director for Sq. Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers. The epic comic-book journey – designed as a long-term, games-as-a-service title – instantly failed to seek out its playerbase, persevering with to meander months after its preliminary September launch.

Now, again within the fold of the much-vaunted Naughty Canine, Escayg is anticipated to function in a artistic director/author position on the studio’s future releases. The studio is reportedly at work on a brand new Uncharted title, in addition to a PS5 remake of The Final of Us, although neither of those initiatives have been confirmed.
